Nope. This is an accent improvement tool.

Dialogs would be a good start. Or pick up your favorite book and start reading.

How do I find the right Voiceback delay?

It's different for everyone. Experiment. The optimal value is somewhere in the 1/3 - 1/6 of a second range.

Why is this Voiceback delay so important?

The comfortable delay will allow you to focus more on speaking and not on hearing. When 1/3 is hearing and 2/3 is speaking, or so, the delay is about right.

Will it actually work?

Yep. However like with all self-improvement programs it depends on your commitment. Try using the program for 2 hours and see. Check out the README file. It contains some useful thoughts on the cause of the accent and things to watch for.

I have no sound

Make sure you have the proper sound input set in the System Preferences->Sound->Input. Choose Internal Microphone or Line In depending on your setup.
